Common questions

What counts as an envelope?
One document package sent to one set of recipients, however many people sign it and however many pages it has. Resending a link to someone who already has it does not count again.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
Signed documents and their audit trails are retained according to your organization's retention policy and remain downloadable during the cancellation window. Deletion is soft by default; hard deletion requires an explicit request and is itself recorded as an audit event.
Is a MedSign signature legally binding?
Signatures collected through MedSign are intended to be legally binding under the federal ESIGN Act and state adoptions of UETA, supported by a tamper-evident audit trail and a cryptographic seal. MedSign does not provide notarization, does not perform government-ID identity proofing, does not produce a qualified electronic signature under eIDAS, and has not been validated for 21 CFR Part 11. This is not legal advice — talk to your counsel about your specific documents.
Do you handle patient records?
No. MedSign is built for internal administrative signing — credentialing, contracting, onboarding, and vendor paperwork. It is not a patient-facing product and does not integrate with an EHR.
